Festival ImigrArte

Cachupa, pierogi, tapioca, sangria and so much more other food I can't remember. Bangladeshi fashion show, samba, traditional African dance workshops and again lots of other performances. 2 weeks ago I was lucky to attend another edition (second for me) of Festival ImigrArte. And I loved it a lot.

What's Festival ImigrArte?

A two day event where imigrants living in Portugal get a chance to show their culture, cuisine etc. So you can expect live music, dance performances, workshops, photography exhibitions, debates and (my favourite part) lots of stands with delicious food from Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe.

The aim of the festival is to promote arts and culture of various imigrant communities in Lisbon, promote intercultural dialogue as well as highlight imigrants' day-to-day struggles, eg with legalizing their stay in Portugal.

I strongly recommend this this event. Great atmosphere, lovely people, quality time.
